Adam Russell Hey there! My name is Adam Russell, and I am a freelance graphic designer who currently operates out of the greater Kansas City, Missouri area.

My first feature length appearance occured twenty-five years ago, and I am known to be a restless and curious person with a severe case of wanderlust. Presently, I am simply enjoying life as a twentysomething who is always learning something new.

From that initial appearance onward, I have spent a significant portion of my life making and viewing films, going to art galleries, and being fascinated with technology and gadgets. Additionally, I enjoy playing bass and rhythm guitar, love discovering new music or attending a good concert, and often find myself relaxing by playing computer and video games, as well as skateboarding whenever I get the opportunity.

I started Room/One-Eleven in 2003 as an online portfolio and playground to show off my various web and print projects. As more time has gone on, this website has also expanded to feature projects in the fields of photography and film.

As of 2007, I have finished up my Associate of Arts degree, and intend to work on a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis on Graphic Design as time allows. However, a majority of my background in design and film has come from independent study and hands-on application over the course of the past decade.

Room/One-Eleven has been hand-coded (using the aptly named Notepad 2) according to current W3C specifications, with valid XHTML Strict markup and CSS presentation standards in mind. While I grudgingly admit other methods are valid, I believe that there is something important to be said about remaining hands on with the code versus relying on WYSIWYG editors.

My creative process is provided by caffeine, the support of my wonderful girlfriend, the perpetually useful words of my peers, and a healthy streak of insomnia.
